About PIT
Pakistan Informatics Training (PIT) is a nationwide initiative created by students, for students — built with the vision to empower Pakistan’s young minds to excel in the global programming arena. Founded by Kaleem Raza Syed, Jawad Akbar, Ghulam Junaid, and Saram, PIT stands as a platform where passion for problem-solving meets mentorship, discipline, and teamwork.
Over a 2-month journey, participants dive deep into the world of competitive programming and informatics, preparing for contests like the Pakistan Olympiad in Informatics (POI), Asian Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) and the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). The training blends weekly online classes (2 hours every Sunday) with a steady stream of challenging problems throughout the week, designed to sharpen algorithmic thinking, data structure mastery, and coding precision.
PIT welcomes students from Grade 8 to 12 / O and A level, fostering a collaborative environment where beginners learn from experienced medalists and competitive programmers. The program focuses not only on technical growth but also on building the mindset of persistence, logical creativity, and strategic problem-solving — the traits that define a true informatician.
With a spirit rooted in community, excellence, and national pride, PIT aims to ignite Pakistan’s next generation of innovators — those who dream, code, and create to make their mark on the world stage.
